2025 fund drive

We’re Here for You 24/7—Now We Need Your Support

Dear neighbor,

When emergencies strike, volunteers of the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department answer the call-day or night, in every season, without hesitation. From fires to vehicle accidents and EMS assists, we stand ready to protect lives and property.

We can’t do it without your support.

Your support is essential to keeping our department running strong. This year, we’re aiming to raise $100,000 to ensure our department remains well-prepared and fully equipped to respond when our community needs us most.

Last year’s contributions enabled significant improvements to our station, including better accommodations for our live-in volunteer responders. With your help, we’ll continue building on this progress.

Your Donation helps us:

Fund Lifesaving Equipment

Purchase modern battery-powered vehicle extrication tools for quicker, safer rescues at accident scenes.

Pay Down Our Building Loan

Pay down our building loan (~$72,000) and address critical repairs to the older portion of our station, built in 1985.

Community Renovations

Update our Community Room restroom facilities for ADA accessibility, benefiting the numerous nonprofit and community groups who regularly use this space.

About The fincastle volunteer fire department

The Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department, led by Chief Robert T. Simmons, proudly serves our community with a dedicated team of over 25 operational volunteers and numerous support members who assist with administration and fundraising. Our volunteers are certified to the same standards as their career counterparts, delivering timely, professional emergency services while helping reduce the financial burden on taxpayers.

As the primary fire responder to your home or business, we operate as an independent organization within the Botetourt County Fire & EMS system, forming a countywide fire service that remains predominantly volunteer-based—reflecting the strong spirit of service that defines our community.
